At the Abaete runway show on Wednesday, designer Laura Poretsky rocked out some very ladylike vintage-y dresses for spring '08. She also, unfortunately, got all Sex and the City nostalgic and boldly declared a comeback for those ridiculous, froopy flower pins that Sarah Jessica Parker used to wear. You, know, last century.
Sure, you could chalk one designer wanting to tap into her inner Bradshaw up to random whim. But then, an hour later, Brazilian designer Alexandre Herchcovitch went there too, pinning fake carnation-esque boutonnières on his punk-ish models.
