Hedi Slimane's Alleged Farewell Letter

ADIEU Slimane
Hedi Slimane is officially out at Dior Homme, taking his androgynous suits, penchant for baby food, and dirty rocker rolodex with him. While initial rumors speculated that Slimane had been dropped from the house (owned by luxury mega-group LVMH), the man himself appeared on his "official" website this morning to set the record, um, straight.
The statement, which scrolls along a black screen like the opening credits in Star Wars, begins with the garbled disclaimer that English is not Slimane's "natural language" and gets better from there. Half apology, half awards show acceptance speech, Slimane goes on to say how much he will miss the folks from his atelier and thank everyone from models to retailers to musicians, and most inappropriately, "the boys and girls who felt it."
