Harvard is the Officially the Best College in the Country

Attention, high school seniors: U.S. News & World Report's annual list of the BEST colleges in America is finally out! (Incidentally, this is the only time each year that you may read U.S. News & World Report.) With the story, of course, comes the inevitable rehashing about how "fatally flawed" its methodology is (you can't even rank community colleges without people complaining), the inevitable whining by deans of schools that slipped a few spots (our favorite such quote, from Cornell provost Biddy Martin: "We can worry about our rankings, or we can be who we are"), and the inevitable increase in the obnoxiousness of Harvard kids, whose school placed first this year. (Princeton was number one last year.)
