Harry Potter Movie Delay: The Bare Facts

Harry Potter fans are disappointed that Warner Bros. has postponed the November release of "Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince," the sixth film in the lucrative Harry Potter franchise...and the first to be delayed.
So what's the hold up?
According to Warner Brothers executives, the picture will do better released in July, as a big summer event. But the truth is, with the film's star Daniel Radcliffe currently tied up on Broadway performing a revival of Peter Shaffer's "Equus," the postponement may have had more to do with the actor's scheduling conflicts.

A theater insider revealed, "His role in "Equus" -- which is drawing big crowds because of Daniel, and because of Daniel completely naked -- made it impossible for him to do press for the November release of "The Half Blood Prince."
Meanwhile, Radcliffe's "Equus" costar has time to do a little promoting. Fans who want to meet star Kate Mulgrew will find her at the Big Apple Comic Book Convention in New York City on Friday, November 14, from 2 - 6.
