Grey's Washington Needs a PR ER

Looks like 2007 will be another rough year on the set of Grey's Anatomy. ABC has rebuked Isaiah Washington for comments he made about his costar T.R. Knight. No, not the comments where Washington allegedly called the actor a "faggot": ABC is angry about his denial of those comments.
In an interview at the Golden Globes, Washington told a reporter, "No, I did not call T.R. a faggot ... Never happened, never happened," which prompted ABC to issue a release stating, in part: "His actions are unacceptable and are being addressed." Of course, some might wonder why the network didn't see fit to address those actions back in October, when he allegedly made the comments.
At the time, the gay rights group GLAAD denounced the actor and fans created a petition addressed to ABC that read in part, "Many fans became outraged of what Washington said about Knight and the double standard in society of it being okay to discriminate against homosexuals." Washington himself offered this apology in late October: "I sincerely regret my actions and the unfortunate use of words during the recent incident on-set."
