Getting 'Rexic With The Oldies!

TOO RICH, TOO THIN Madonna A new report is blaming a sinewy Madonna, Sharon Stone, and Jane Fonda for an uptick in cases of anorexia among women over the age of 50. Whereas the eating disorder was once thought to plague mainly teens and 20-somethings, now many of the women seeking treatment for the condition are a little longer in the teeth. But bombarded by red carpet images of reconstructed lady-bots like Demi Moore or a scary skinny Teri Hatcher, these older women now have vastly unrealistic expectations of how their bodies should look. According to the report, "Glamorous images of celebrities in their 40s, 50s, and 60s looking as slim and youthful as they did in their 20s may give older women unrealistic expectations of how they should look as they age" leading to the oldies starving themselves in the name of beauty.
