Fox Foes Go Pro

For liberals, watching Fox News can be an infuriating ordeal, but it has its rewards.
The team behind SweetJesusIHateBillOReilly is hard at work on a book about the No-Spin Zone chieftain's home network. Nation Books will publish Fair and Balanced, My Ass: An Unbridled Look at the Bizarre Reality of Fox News, next spring.
Despite its jokey name, co-author and SJIHBO founder Joseph Minton Amann contends the book has a serious aim. "We really try to look at their techniques and at their broader agenda," he says. "They're using patriotism and religion as a weapon in a way the media has never done before. It's not about being conservative. They are trying to position themselves as the Christian news network and as the patriotic news network. And although it's kind of funny, it's scary that their popularity is pushing forward their agenda."
