HELP US UNDERSTAND Madonna (Photo: Getty Images) Before the Cinema Society screening of her feature-length directorial debut, Filth and Wisdom, at Sunshine Cinemas in Manhattan Monday night, Madonna instantly headed off would-be detractors: "I know there's a certain kind of resentment when people do one thing well—not to toot my own horn or anything—and then you try to go do something else," Madge said. "Then everyone else goes and gets a bug up their ass for it. And that's their fucking problem," Madonna grinned, as the audience, chock-full of A-listers like Jerry Seinfeld, Lindsay Lohan, Liev Schreiber, Naomi Watts, and Marc Jacobs, roared with laughter.
