Entertaining Guru's Ingracious Suit

NO, DON'T GET UP Kim, Rubell
In her cooking tome Real Life Entertaining, Jennifer Rubell advocates for unpretentious, rustic, "anything goes" meals. She describes her philosophy as "creative, rule-free, and low-stress," and that meals are served to her eclectic, brownstone-dwelling urban family in a "judgment-free bubble."
But Rubell, the niece of Studio 54 cofounder Steve Rubell, and an "entertaining guru" in the breathless words of the New York Post, appears to be anything but judgment-free.
Her (or her lawyer's) harsh accusations of drug use and home porn shoots are splashed all over the New York tabloids today, as she and her boyfriend Daniel Kim (each a Harvard grad) fire up a wicked custody battle.
Rubell, the hotelier behind the Albion, the Greenview, and The Beach House in Miami, is suing Kim for custody over their baby daughter, because, she claimed in an oddly one-sided account reported by the Post, he won't vacate their 4,200-square-foot East Side brownstone despite repeated requests to do so. Rubbell, who has been dubbed "the siren of South Beach" and "South Beach's Princess Diana," has compiled an extensive list of accusations.
