LOVIN' IT Schlesinger, Courtney (inset) Two time Pulitzer Prize-winning historian Arthur Schlesinger, Jr. is taking a page out Courtney Love's tattered, doodle-adorned playbook by selling the personal diaries he's kept for decades.
Of course, Love's diary (released as Dirty Blonde) chronicled her troubled teens, drug use, rocker lifestyle, and the death of her husband, Kurt Cobain, and includes lots of revealing photos. The 89-year-old gray eminence's still-untitled diaries, which sold to Penguin for more $1.5 million, according to the New York Post's Keith Kelly, will probably just include a bunch of nerdy anecdotes about Harvard, John F. Kennedy, and Adlai Stevenson.
