Wholesome pop star Mandy Moore actually knows how to swear. The only problem is she does it politely. During a performance at Stereo in Manhattan on Thursday, Moore told the crowd, "Okay, guys. I just want to introduce you to my band because they ... and please excuse my language here ... fucking rock!"
The Braff-stained starlet was sicker than a dog and took the stage with an inhaler, tea, and water in hand for a four-song set to showcase her new album. But her voice was so shot that she had to keep quieting down the loud crowd so they could hear her. "Please guys! Shhh! Keep it down!" she pleaded at one point. Loudness aside, she delighted the downtown element of the audience by bringing on her "good friend," indie ingénue Rachel Yamagata to help her out on a song.
