Your Democratic National Convention Party Guide

HERE FOR THE PARTY Denver No one cares about the speeches. Everyone goes for the hotel gifts and free drinks. The national political conventions are just paid vacations without the spouses, right, Jack Shafer?
Unfortunately, we wish. Broncos fans are accustomed to paying $6 for a cup of Coors Light at Denver's Invesco Field, but that's a good deal compared to what the Democratic rank-and-file will have to put up with when they arrive at the stadium next week to watch Barack Obama accept the presidential nomination on the JumboTron: there's a strict no-booze policy at all convention venues (something about official party business).
