Our Sham Debates May Be Even Shammier Than We Thought!

Nash McCabe, the "ordinary voter" who asked if Barack Obama "believes in the flag" during Wednesday's debate, turns out to be a little less ordinary than originally assumed: She was the subject of a Times article two weeks ago , "How can I vote for a president who won't wear a flag pin?" This is apparently some kind of huge scandal, according to the folks at Talking Points Memo, who are concerned that picking an ordinary citizen with a predisclosed bias to ask a question might violate the integrity of the ~~ludicrously scripted dog-and-pony shows~~ American television debate format. Which, we all can agree, would be a real tragedy.
