  • Nash McCabe, the "ordinary voter" who asked if Barack Obama "believes in the flag" during Wednesday's debate, turns out to be a little less ordinary than originally assumed: She was the subject of a Times article two weeks ago , "How can I vote for a president who won't wear a flag pin?" This is apparently some kind of huge scandal, according to the folks at Talking Points Memo, who are concerned that picking an ordinary citizen with a predisclosed bias to ask a question might violate the integrity of the ludicrously scripted dog-and-pony shows American television debate format. Which, we all can agree, would be a real tragedy.
