THIS GUY KNOCKED UP GWYNETH PALTROW Dude from Coldplay SOME GUY FROM CLEAR CHANNEL: Do your readers care about Coldplay?

ME: God, I hope not.

Whether you're a sensitive twat who finds Radiohead too challenging or just the kind of listener who will happily embrace whatever the folks on the radio tell you to like, you're probably a Coldplay fan. And you know what? That's fine. It gets tiresome complaining about authenticity and innovation after a while: they put out competent, hummable music, and sometimes that's enough. (Personal note: I actually think "The Scientist" is a great song, and it occasionally brings a manly tear to my eye.) Anyway, they've got a new one coming out, you've probably seen the onslaught of promotion for it: If it doesn't sell well, everyone who works for what used to be EMI will lose their jobs and the record industry will collapse. I realize that this is actually a reason to root against it, but they had living god Brian Eno behind the boards, so it's surely got something going for it. Anyway, the whole album is now available for your listening pleasure here, if you care about that sort of thing.
