• The ax has fallen at troubled American Media, where 10 Star staffers lost their jobs earlier today. • Congressional Quarterly editor (and RadarOnline.com contributor) Chris Lehmann, who whipped up a blogstorm when he dared to write in the New York Observer that Stephen Colbert wasn't that funny at the 2006 White House Correspondent's Association dinner, will take over for Richard Brookhiser as the Observer's Washington columnist. The bi-weekly column is expected to debut this week.
