The FBI which joined in the manhunt said at a news conference that "we believe (the body) to be the missing victim in Chicago, the nephew of Jennifer Hudson. We are working with Chicago police to get a positive identification of the victim."

Hudson offered a $100K reward yesterday on her MySpace blog for the safe return of her nephew.

William Balfour, 27, believed to "be a person of interest" is in police custody as a suspect in the "homicide investigation". Balfour is on parole and spent over six years in prison for vehicular hijacking, attempted murder and possession of a stolen car.

He is the estranged husband of Hudson's sister Julia but is not the missing boy's father.

The Oscar winning actress positively ID-ed the bodies found at the crime scene as her mother Darnell Donerson, 57, and brother, Jason, 27.

Neither Hudson's publicist nor Chicago police have yet confirmed the identity of the dead boy found in the SUV.
