Benazir Bhutto Killed During Rally

Recently returned from self-imposed exile, Pakistani opposition leader and onetime Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto was killed Thursday in a suicide attack at a rally. Dozens of others were also killed and untold numbers injured. Long a favorite target of bomb-hugging extremists, Bhutto had managed to dodge attempts on her life in the past, only to then be arrested by a government claiming they in fact meant to protect her. Pakistani Big Cheese Pervez Musharraf has yet to comment, but it's expected he'll provide condolences and whisper that since militants rarely try to murder him, he's happily available to serve as the country's leader for the remainder of forever.
