The phone costs €600 and is tricked out with a touch screen and a Prada logo. Every status-hungry Eurotrash bone in our body is absolutely ecstatic right now.

The high tech treat will first be unleashed in Italy (the home of the D&G phone and another by Roberto Cavalli), followed by releases in the U.S., UK, and then Asia.

The trend for designer appliances is becoming so big worldwide, other designers will have to follow suit or be left in the dust by their entrepreneurial peers.

Borrowing a page from conceptual artists like Tom Sachs, who's created everything from a Prada deathcamp to a Chanel guillotine, and Peter Gronquist, who made a Gucci chainsaw and a Louis Vuitton gun, we started to think of our own dream designer products.
