The party locusts have descended once again upon Miami for this year's Art Basel, the warm-weathered sister of Switzerland's annual showcase. That most attendees couldn't distinguish a John Currin from a Thomas Kinkade is irrelevant; Basel Miami is about kissing ass and taking names. The actual art portion of the extended weekend kicks off tomorrow, but the migratory rampage of underemployed luminaries, self-styled cognoscenti, publicists, and Euro hangers-on has been underway for days.
