Andrew Sullivan's Soul Shredded
Oct. 27 2008, Published 7:07 a.m. ET
TRASHED Sullivan Andrew Sullivan has been wrong about a few things in his time—the Iraq War and Out editor Aaron Hicklin's sexuality, to name two—but the guy can count. So when the iconoclastic gay pundit received galleys of his new book, The Conservative Soul: How We Lost It, and How to Get It Back, it didn't take him long to realize the page numbers were screwed up.
Sullivan, who also writes the Daily Dish blog for Time.com, reported the problem to his publisher, HarperCollins, which had to pulp some 28,000 copies of the book and rush it back to press. A spokesperson for the publisher couldn't immediately say whether the mishap will delay the book's Oct. 1 publication date.
