SHE BANGS DioGuardi (Photo: Getty Images) America's most important panel of judges, sorry SCOTUS, just become a foursome, now that songwriter/producer Kara DioGuardi has joined Paula, Randy, and Simon as an American Idol judge. According to producers, DioGuardi is joining the crew to add a dynamic that other countries' versions of Idol enjoy by employing four judges. Other idle speculation has her joining the show so that the ever-inebriated Abdul can be gently eased out the door, placed in a cab, and driven to for off place where her drunken ramblings will cause no harm. But we'd like to think that DioGuardi has earned the gig by working with some of the greatest musicians of our time, including Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Taylor Hicks, Avril Lavigne, and Miley Cyrus. There's also the work she's done producing BSB, the Jonas Brothers, Hilary Duff, Lindsay Lohan, Raven Symone, not to mention the backup singing she's done for Vanessa Hudgens. Clearly, when it comes to bland, inoffensive, unremarkable pop-music, this woman has talent that will not go to waste on Idol.
