It's Always Ugly in Philadelphia

Another day, another meaningless online survey spun into a news story: A Travel and Leisure poll of "America's Favorite Cities" ranked Philadelphia as the nation's ugliest burg. (The uncomely residents of the City of Brotherly Chubs were also rated "the least stylish, least active, least friendly, and least worldly.") While T&L senior editor Amy Farley notes that "the relative attractiveness of its residents is only a minuscule factor in evaluating a city's merit," any town that can claim both Seth Green and Adam Carolla as native sons has to take a long, hard look in the mirror and then quickly turn away. Area residents are presumably outraged, but too busy stuffing Steak-Ums drowned in Cheez Whiz into their comically oversize gullets to comment. Reuters
