Secret Rehab Stint! Ryan Edwards Entered Treatment Center In 2012 For Pill Abuse

Ryan Edwards has been in rehab for two weeks to battle his substance abuse issues, but this isn't his first time at a treatment center. The Teen Mom OG star's ex-girlfriend Dalis Connell exclusively revealed to RadarOnline.com that he unsuccessfully tried to get help before.
"We admitted him to outpatient rehab in December 2012," the theFITsation owner told RadarOnline.com. "He was taking Roxycodone."
Connell, who appeared on Teen Mom during her two-year relationship with Edwards, revealed that she was the one who broke the news of his substance abuse issues to his parents Larry and Jen Edwards.
"His mom was 100 percent in denial," she confessed. "His dad was the one that pulled the secret out of me. That's why he went to rehab. His dad had been fed up. I drove there that night and we had an intervention."
But the treatment was short-lived, as he only lasted a week in the outpatient program.
"He relapsed," Connell said. "He wasn't interested in rehab. We had to drag him there the first time. He never said he wanted to get better, he just wanted the withdrawals to stop."
E! News reported that Edwards has been in rehab for two weeks and is "doing well."
After years of substance abuse rumors because of his bizarre behavior on previous seasons, his ex-fiancée Maci Bookout, who he shares 8-year-old son Bentley with, opened up about his drug use.
"I'm going to be like, you have to go to rehab," she told her husband Taylor McKinney. "Right now it's about saving his life. Most nights I'm crying in our bed talking to you about whether or not today is the day he's going to die."
RadarOnline.com confirmed Starcasm's report that Edwards and his fiancée Mackenzie Standifer married in a secret ceremony on May 15, months before his second rehab stint.
Edwards and reps for MTV did not respond to RadarOnline.com's request for comment.
