Joe Giudice is so terrified of deportation after he completes a three-year prison, he’s cutting ties with an old pal.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey jailbird, 44, is “keeping his distance” from fellow Bravolebrity felon Apollo Nida, RadarOnline.com can reveal.

As RadarOnline.com exclusively reported, the two reality stars are serving time in New Jersey’s Fort Dix correctional institution for separate fraud schemes. While Giudice originally talked to Nida, 37, behind bars, he now wants to keep his nose clean and stay away from the rule-breaking Real Housewives of Atlanta husband.

“Joe is trying to lay low so he doesn’t get into any more trouble,” a prison insider tells RadarOnline.com of the father of four, who was thrown into maximum security when he checked into the correctional facility intoxicated on March 23. “He knows it is best that he stay away from Apollo.”

Nida, who was also tossed into maximum security for harboring a secret cell phone, has infuriated inmates by cutting food lines and interrupting sacred recreation sessions.

“Apollo thinks he’s better than everyone else because he’s famous,” a source revealed to RadarOnline.com. “Obviously, his behavior doesn’t win him any friends.”

While the father of estranged wife Phaedra Parks’ two young sons will not be eligible for release until 2020, Giudice is expected to find freedom in 2019.
