Homeless Man Arrested For Allegedly Dismembering Wife, Stuffing Remains In Suitcase

A Pasadena homeless man was just arrested in connection to the brutal killing of his wife.
As RadarOnline.com has learned from Pasadena Star-News, Valentino Gutierrez has been accused of killing, and dismembering his wife inside local restaurant Dona Rosa Bakery and Taqueria. The couple had reportedly been living there along with other homeless people from the area.
According to the publication, Gutierrez, 56, stuffed his wife's remains inside a suitcase, only to take them with him when he boarded a train to Cypress Park in Los Angeles.
Surveillance footage shows Gutierrez carrying the bag – which looked extremely heavy – on the train with other passengers.
In Los Angeles, he allegedly set the suitcase on fire and abandoned it in a Home Depot parking lot, where police found it.
Though her body was completely charred and destroyed, officials reportedly identified the victim to be 31-year-old Tiana Alfred: the suspected killer's wife.
Investigators believe the slaying occurred late Jan. 31, though they've not yet determined what caused Gutierrez to commit the alleged murder.
During a conference, Los Angeles Police Department officials described the homicide as "disturbing" and "sheer brutality."
Gutierrez is scheduled for an arraignment on February 15. His bail is set at $2.17 million.
