Although the bank demanded Tennell pay off the balance due, she has allegedly "failed or refused to do so."

Then on December 13, 2017, Discover Bank filed a motion for service of process by special order of court, claiming they have attempted to serve her at her home address four times.

"Plaintiff requests that it be permitted to serve process by posting a copy of the summons and complaint on the door at the residence address," the filing read. "Plaintiff also requests it be permitted to mail a copy of the summons and complaint to the defendant at the residential address."

The court approved the request. The next court date will be on March 12, 2018.

The Tennell family has been open about their financial issues. A GoFundMe page was started to help bring Bradie's younger brothers Austin and Shane go to the Olympics.

"Bradie Tennell would love nothing more than for her younger brothers, Austin and Shane, to watch her compete for her country," the description for the page read. "Bradie's mom Jean, a single mother of 3, and a registered nurse, works two jobs to make ends meet on a daily basis. Because of this, there's no extra money to bring her sons to Pyeongchang."

$12,788 of the $20,000 goal was raised before United Airlines offered to fly her family to Pyeongchang.
