Mark Salling just caught a lucky break in his child porn case.

The disgraced Glee actor, who was indicted in May for possessing thousands of obscene photos and videos featuring children as young as 5 years old, requested to delay a November 7 hearing in Los Angeles court and was promptly approved by the judge, RadarOnline.com can exclusively report.

According to U.S. District Court documents obtained by RadarOnline.com, the 34-year-old's attorney Michael J. Proctor claimed he is still seeking a "computer forensic expert" to examine his "digital media," which the court previously revealed adds up to 100,000 pages of evidence.

The lawyer also indicated that a plea deal proposal could be in the works.

"The defense is also preparing evidence of mitigation that the defense anticipates presenting to the government in an effort to resolve this case without proceeding to trial," Proctor wrote in the November 3 filing.

In addition, Salling's team filed sealed, private documents they claimed would justify the delay.

The judge approved the motion, and Salling's next court date is now scheduled for January 23, 2017.

Salling may have bought time in his legal case, but he made headlines for alleged shameful behavior again last week when a woman accused him of raping her and infecting her with sexually transmitted diseases in 2012.

"She also told him 'I can't do this' repeatedly. However, he did not stop," an officer wrote of the alleged victim in Los Angeles County District Attorney documents. "He told her repeatedly that he needed 'five mote minutes' and continued to rape her."
