Mariah Carey Gets Weight Loss Surgery After Being Bashed By Body Shamers, Source Says

Mariah Carey, 47, has reportedly undergone a complex weight-loss surgery, RadarOnline.com has learned. The musical diva reportedly began feeling extremely insecure about her curves after online haters bashed her for her fuller figure.

According to Page Six, Carey underwent gastric sleeve surgery just last month in Beverly Hills. The procedure consists of removing part of the patient's stomach so that he/she feels satisfied more quickly.

Scarring and recovery time are reportedly minimal, so Carey will regain her strength and sexy body in no time.

A source told Page Six that "Mariah has always been proud of her curves, but this summer… she noticed it became harder to dance, and she was getting a lot more criticism online from body shamers."

Since her surgery, the star has already been feeling "a lot better," according to the source, and has even been spotted out around town with her backup dancer boy toy!
