Kelis is asking a court to tell her rapper ex, Nas, to fork up more money in child support, according to documents obtained exclusively by RadarOnline.com.
In court documents filed Wednesday, the “Milkshake” singer is asking to modify their existing child support agreement. Kelis, 38, said Nas is making much more money now since the child support judgement was filed in 2012. The couple has one son, Knight.
According to that agreement, Nas currently pays $8,000 per month in child support. Kelis said she will submit a specific child support calculation once a forensic accountant determines how much her ex is now earning.
“The child support order in this case has been in place since our son was approximately 3 years old,” Kelis said in her declaration. “He is now 8 years old. His needs and expenditures have materially changes since the Judgment has been entered. I am informed and believe that Respondent’s income today would support a child support order in excess of $8,000 per month.”
