Justin Timberlake 'Devastated' By Super Bowl Performance Backlash

Justin Timberlake is "devastated" after finding out about the nasty backlash his Super Bowl performance has received!

Just one day after the singer took the half time stage to belt out his biggest hits, a source exclusively revealed to RadarOnline.com that he is overwhelmed by the negative reactions.

"He left the field feeling great. He thought he had knocked it out of the park giving one of the great super bowl performances," said the source.

"It was only after that he found about the sound issues. He is devastated," added the insider.

As RadarOnline.com readers know, Timberlake, 37, received criticism for performing his controversial "Rock Your Body" song – which he sang with Janet Jackson in 2004, that time he exposed her nipple for the entire audience to see. He also went under fire when he performed a musical tribute to legendary singer Prince. The late icon's ex-fiancée, Sheila E. (along with various others), openly voiced her disapproval of the Prince holograms displayed on stage, calling them "weird" and "demonic."

Continued the insider to RadarOnline.com: "Justin worked 11 hour days in rehearsals and although his team has protected him from the nastiest reviews he is aware that his performance is not getting good press."

"Justin is the golden boy. Not getting great reviews, not being loved is something new to him," concluded the source. "This is the first major career moment that hasn't been embraced. He isn't used to negative feedback."
