Major Drop! Jimmy Fallon Loses Show Ratings To Rival Stephen Colbert

Jimmy Fallon is facing a serious re-vamp of The Tonight Show after the program's ratings took another beating against Stephen Colbert's popular Late Show, RadarOnline.com
According to Page Six, Fallon will be forced to "change his strategy" after Colbert's show reached its fifth consecutive week of favorable ratings.
"Fallon is feeling the pressure. I mean, Stephen Colbert is now beating him in a big way and he has to change his format to keep up because he's losing viewers," said a source, citing Fallon's ongoing issues with incorporating politics into the show. "They had to figure out a way to get Trump into his routine because he's too weak on Trump, and viewers are going elsewhere. He's been uncomfortable talking about politics, and that's not what the people want."
To make matters worse, Fallon isn't coping well with the slump — at all.
"He freaks out over this. He has to be on top," a source told the publication.
As RadarOnline.com readers know, ratings may still be the least of the 42-year-old's problems. Fallon experienced two alcohol-fueled injuries in the span of four months in 2015, causing major concern for his well being. Of course, the TV personality never mentioned any consumption of alcohol in his explanations of the incidents.

A pal of the SNL veteran revealed at the time, "He knows he needs to be responsible. He has two kids. He has cut back on his drinking."
Meanwhile, another insider insisted to Page Six that Fallon is "a fan" of Colbert: "We always strive to unveil new sketch material. We have as much fun doing political humor as we do skewering pop culture . . . We love Stephen's show. They're doing great stuff. There's no shortage of material every night."
"From Jimmy's first week on the air, the entire team has done a remarkable job keeping The Tonight Show fresh and entertaining," An NBC rep said on the matter.
