A team of experts, including computer scientists and election lawyers, have come forward urging Hillary Clinton to challenge the election results in three swing states, New York Magazine reports.

According to voting-rights attorney John Bonifaz and director of the University of Michigan Center for Computer Security and Society J. Alex Halderman, "persuasive evidence" was discovered suggesting that results in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania may have been rigged — or even hacked.

The team of academic activists has yet to comment on the record about their alleged findings, but has privately contacted the Clinton camp regarding the matter, the publication reports.

According to their data, Clinton received 7 percent fewer votes counties of Wisconsin that "relied on electronic-voting machines compared with counties that used optical scanners and paper ballots."

"Based on this statistical analysis, Clinton may have been denied as many as 30,000 votes," the report claimed. "She lost Wisconsin by 27,000."

Though they have not found direct proof of manipulation, the experts are pushing for an investigation, especially in light of the White House's accusations against Russia concerning possible Democratic National Committee hacks.

But Clinton doesn't have much time left to challenge the results, should she choose to, with recount deadlines coming fast around the corner. Of course, both a recount and a forensic audits of voting machines would be necessary to determine true results.
