Harry Connick Jr.'s daughter Georgia was arrested Saturday at the family's Connecticut home in the wake of a party in which minors were drinking alcohol, police said.
The 19-year-old was given a summons in connection with permitting minors to possess alcohol and procuring alcohol for minors at the New Canaan, Conn. Residence, officials said. The teen -- who never had a mug shot taken and wasn't brought into custody -- promised to attend a hearing in the matter next month.
Authorities said that the American Idol judge's daughter told them that the bash was intended to be a small affair, but word-of-mouth caused many more partygoers than expected.
According to WNTH, her parents -- the American Idol judge and wife Jill Goodacre -- were not on hand during the bash. The hunky piano player told RadarOnline.com in a statement, "This is a private matter which we are dealing with as a family. We have no further comments. Thank you for understanding."
