The Olympics may be over, but Gabby Douglas is still getting slammed for poor sportsmanship! While her teammates have been on their post-Olympics press tour, Douglas has been missing from various events after being criticized for her behavior throughout the summer games.
Aly Raisman, Simone Biles, Laurie Hernandez and Madison Kocian met President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama at the White House earlier this week.
Although Douglas missed the meeting because she underwent surgery to get her wisdom teeth removed, fans didn't buy the excuse.
'I mean come on, who schedules an appointment to remove wisdom teeth when you have an opportunity to meet the POTUS? That is not emergency surgery. Get outta here with that nonsense," one user commented on a photo of the four gymnasts.
Another commenter bashed, "Still no Gabby Douglas huh… terrible display of sportsmanship… you're part of the final five but we've only seen the fantastic four."
But this isn't the first event Douglas has skipped out on, as she was also absent from the U.S. Olympic Committee Awards Show, where they took home a trophy for Team of the Olympic Games.
"Why isn't Gabby taking part in anything you guys do?" one user asked, as another jabbed, "Actually #FinalFour has a better ring and is more definitive of reality."
Douglas also ditched her team at the VMAS, blaming medical issues for her absence.
The three-time Olympic gold medalist came under fire at the 2016 Rio Olympics when she sported a sour expression during the competition. She was even caught on camera not cheering for her teammates while watching from the stands.
Douglas was also criticized for not placing her hand over her heart during the national anthem when her team took home gold.
