Casey Anthony isn't the only one getting into trouble! The monster mom's former lawyer has been arrested on charges after he allegedly conspired to fly a plane full of cocaine from Ecuador to Honduras, RadarOnline.com has learned.

Todd Macaluso, who happens to be a licensed pilot, was arraigned in Brooklyn Federal Court on November 19, just five days after the bust.

According to the New York Daily News, the 54-year-old became a person of interest following a drug trafficking investigation of an airplane registered in the United States.

NYPD Detective Alexander Sosa of the Drug Enforcement Administration task force revealed that a plane was set to fly from Haiti to Ecuador, where 1,500 kilograms of cocaine would be picked up, and transported to Honduras and the U.S.

Sosa added that Macaluso and his co-conspirators, Carlos Almonte Vasquez and Humberto Osuna Contreras, met in Port au-Prince on November 14 to go over their master plan.

"Macaluso described, in the presence of both Almonte Vasquez and Osuna Contreras, the structure of the subject aircraft, stating that it could hold 1,500 kilograms of cocaine," Sosa said in the official complaint.

As RadarOnline.com readers know, Macaluso represented Casey Anthony in her infamous murder trial over the death of 2-year-old daughter Caylee. Macaluso reportedly flew her out of Orlando on his plane, with help from lead attorney Jose Baez, following Anthony's 2011 acquittal.

Unfortunately, there's more to Macaluso's criminal track record. NYDN reports he's also an "ex-con who was convicted of defrauding clients in California and sentenced to five months in prison last year."
