Britney Spears Blows Off Lip-Syncing Rumors: 'It Really Pisses Me Off'

Oops! Britney Spears is fighting off lip-syncing rumors yet again, this time lashing out like never before.

Appearing on an Israeli TV show ahead of a special performance this week, the pop princess was asked how many times she sings live.

"I'm glad you're addressing this question, because it's really funny. A lot of people think that I don't do live," Spears said. "I usually —because I'm dancing so much — I do have a little bit of playback but there's a mixture of my voice and the playback."

"It really pisses me off because I am busting my ass out there and singing at the same time and nobody ever really gives me credit for it," she added.

But this certainly not the first time the "Piece of Me" hit-maker has been plagued by lip-syncing accusations.

Even at her last MTV VMAs performance alongside G-Eazy, fans speculated that the singer's vocals were dubbed over while her rapper collaborator was hooked to a live mic.

Back in 2014, during a performance at Planet Hollywood, Spears was hit with similar rumors, when she seemingly began to mouth along with fellow singer Sia's vocal track.

"I'm second hand embarrassed," an Instagram user wrote after seeing a video of the debacle.

"Poor Britney," said another.

One redeeming live recording of Spear's "Toxic," sans auto tune, was leaked earlier this year, proving she can hold a tune — when she wants to at least.
