Billy Bush's big break in New York City has officially been broken, leaving the TV personality no choice but to pack up and go home to Los Angeles.
According to Page Six, the 45-year-old had purchased a luxurious Chelsea townhouse after he was hired on the TODAY show. But just one month into his east coast gig, Bush's infamous Donald Trump tape leaked to the public, leading to his official firing from the daytime program.
"He was living in an apartment while the Chelsea house was being redone," a source said of Bush's new pad, adding that his family had stayed behind in L.A. while the "gut renovation" was underway.
Now, an insider close to Bush says he's selling the house.
Meanwhile, as Radar previously reported, the former Access Hollywood host was able to reach multi-million-dollar settlement deal with NBC just one week after the network suspended him over the 2005 audio recording.
"NBC also agreed to pay for Billy's relocation back to Los Angeles from NYC, including all costs associated with that move," the insider added.
"In the end, Billy got exactly what he wanted in the deal," the source told Radar. "He is definitely bummed, to say the least, but he is also glad that he decided to stick up for himself."
Since the settlement, Bush has been spotted at the Sunset Tower's Tower Bar in West Hollywood with friends.
