Paranoid Bill Cosby Fears 'His Drink Will Be Spiked' Before His Trial

What goes around comes around? With Bill Cosby's sensational trial for drugging and assaulting a woman set to begin, the star fears someone will slip something into his food or drink, Page Six has reported.

During pre-trial hearings and jury selection in Pittsburgh before the June 5 start for Cosby's sexual assault trial in Philadelphia, the comedian reportedly refused to stay in local hotels because of paranoia.

Instead, Cosby, 79, woke up at 2:30 every morning to fly his private jet to the courthouse from his suburban Philly home, according to Page Six.

A source who works with the Cosby camp said, "He and his wife are afraid that if he stayed at a hotel, someone will find a way to poison him, put something in his food."

It's an odd twist after the former The Cosby Show star was accused by up to 60 women of sexually assaulting them—and many claimed he slipped something in their drinks.

However, Cosby will only go on trial on beginning June 5 for allegedly drugging and assaulting one accuser former Temple University athlete Andrea Constand, then 31, in his home in 2004. He faces up to 10 years in prison if convicted. Cosby denies the charges.

But Montgomery County D.A. Kevin Steele shouted in a dramatic pre-trial courtroom hearing that Cosby had conducted a "lifetime of sexual assault on young women," and said that the star was "good at intoxicating people and putting them in a state where they can't resist."

Now, Page Six has reported that Cosby has refused to drink from the courthouse fountains. Instead, he carried water bottles, along with meals, from his home 300 miles away.

According to the report, Cosby is also concerned about eavesdropping spyware, so he's avoiding staying in a hotel for now because, "He's thinking and his team is thinking, if he's put in a hotel room, someone will find out which room he's staying in and they'll put a bug or a device in the room," a Page Six source said.

Cosby and his reps haven't commented on the report.

As RadarOnline.com has reported, a jury has been seated for Cosby's trial, which is sure to in the headlines for weeks.
