Scheana Shay's Anorexia Confession: 'I Did Any Quick Fix'
Scheana Shay has a big secret she's been keeping for years — and it's finally come out.
The reality star first mentioned her battle with an eating disorder during the Vanderpump Rules reunion, when Stassi Schroeder called her anorexic in a shocking but fleeting moment. Now, the 31-year-old wants to set the record straight on the ordeal.
On a tell-all interview with The Daily Dish podcast, Shay, who's now dating Robert Parks Valletta, revealed it all started in college.
"I was 20 years old. I was going to be moving out to Hollywood. I wanted to be an actress," she said. "Thin was in 11 years ago. Kim Kardashian was not a thing. It wasn’t cool to have a big butt. For me, I was just like, 'I don't want to work out, so the only way I know how to get skinny is to stop eating.'"
"I remember stepping on the scale the day of my college graduation, and I was 102. I was like, 'Yes, I’m almost under 100.' I was proud of myself," Shay continued.

After her friends began commenting on Shay's shrinking frame, the star said she began eating regularly again, but still took laxatives to prevent excess weight gain. "I was doing any quick fix to get the weight off," she said.
"I put on weight between 23 and 26, because I drank beer, wine, Champagne, Fireball, Jameson, everything with sugar, on a regular basis," she said, adding she packed on 20 pounds of "alcohol weight."
Today, Shay maintains she's kept herself in good shape through a healthy diet and plenty of exercise.
"I eat whatever I want, whenever I want, and I work out, so I'm able to keep it off," she said.
