Shelton, 40, cradled the toddler just days after RadarOnline.com reported that he had a secret rendezvous with ex-wife Lambert and poured out his heart about how much he missed her, friends revealed.

"Gwen has always been insecure and jealous over Blake's womanizing ways, but she's going to be crushed when she learns he and Miranda are getting chummy again," a source told RadarOnline.com about Shelton and Lambert's undercover meeting.

"Shelton's conversation with Lambert was fully of regret," the source told RadarOnline.com. "Blake said he's been carrying around a ton of emotional baggage and guilt since they divorced last summer. He told her he regretted how their split became so nasty, and even suggested he wished their marriage could have worked out. He also told Miranda he misses her!"

A source told RadarOnline.com that wedding bells are not far off for the couple, despite Shelton reaching out to his ex.

And Stefani was forging ahead with her plans to tie the knot with The Voice judge, even telling the Obamas that she wanted to invite them to the ceremony.
