President Barack Obama hosted his final state dinner last night at the White House in Washington D.C., but according to a source in attendance, Gwen Stefani and boyfriend Blake Shelton stole the show with massive news about their upcoming wedding! Stefani's hit song "Sweet Escape" is being used by President Obama as his official exit song, so she and Shelton, 47, performed at the big night.
"Gwen got paid a lot of money to perform last night and, of course, they got royal perks that included a huge suite and an army of security personnel," the insider told RadarOnline.com.
Before performing their hit duet "Go Ahead and Break My Heart," in front of a star-studded crowd that consisted of of VP Joe Biden, Rachel Ray, Frank Ocean, Jerry Seinfeld, and more, "Gwen and Blake met up with Barack and Michelle privately and they had a marvelous time together," the insider revealed.
"They told the president that they wish he could just stay in office and Barack thought that was hilarious," said the source. "Gwen also was heard commenting to Michelle about her impeccable style."
However, the D.C. insider told RadarOnline.com that — during Shelton and Stefani's intimate conversation with the Obamas – they revealed some VERY personal details about their upcoming wedding!
"Gwen told the president and first lady that she and Blake were honored to be there and that they are definitely getting invites to their wedding," the source revealed.
