Britney Spears has found new love — and her dad is doing everything he can to make sure it doesn’t turn toxic!

Just as with Spears’ previous two boyfriends, Jason Trawick and David Lucado, the pop singer's dad, Jamie Spears, has vetted her new love interest, Charlie Ebersol.

RadarOnline.com can exclusively report that Ebersol has passed with flying colors the strict requirements Spears’ father has set for new suitors as her co-conservator.

Even though Ebersol, 31, comes from a wealthy and respected family — his dad is former NBC sports chief, Dick Ebersol — "there wouldn't be any exception made about Jamie's requirement that anyone dating Britney must undergo a background check and sign the confidentiality agreement,” reveals an insider to Radar. “Obviously, Charlie made the cut.”

It could have been an awkward conversation, but television producer Ebersol completely understood when told about what it took to date 32-year-old Spears, reveals the insider. The agreement he signed prohibits him from ever blabbing about his relationship with Britney to the press, but in a goodwill gesture, “Jamie offered to pay Ebersol's legal fees if he needed someone to look it over," the insider notes.

The singer posted a photo of herself with Ebersol on Saturday to Instagram. Spears captioned the photo with a heart and she can be seen smiling from ear to ear.

Spears, who is rebounding from her recent break up with Lucado, is already completely smitten with her new man. “She said that he is passionate and that he treats her like a woman,” the source previously told Radar. “Even though it's a new relationship, it's getting very hot and heavy.”
