“It’s not a joke,” the pregnant 22-year-old posted on Instagram August 14. “I struggle with depression/anxiety on the daily. We are not alone…there is help out in the world! #listentoeachother.”
She then attached some inspirational quotes.
“Depression, anxiety, and panic attacks are not a sign of weakness. They are signs of having tried to remain strong for so long. 1 in 3 of us go through depression, anxiety or panic attacks at least once in our life….Let those who struggle know they are never alone,” Tyler Baltierra’s fiancée posted.
Despite her secret struggle, Lowell has achieved so much: After growing up in a broken home, the Michigan native went on to graduate high school and is now an adoption advocate and motivational speaker around the country. (She and Baltierra gave up their first child, daughter Carly, for adoption in 2009).
She is also prepping for her impending bundle of joy, and reportedly planning a spring 2015 wedding to her middle school sweetheart.
“So excited to meet our little monkey!” Lowell posted on an August 10 baby bump photo.
