Jacqueline Laurita is returning to The Real Housewives of New Jersey, RadarOnline.com can confirm.

After the Bravo show’s recent ratings plunge during the current season six, the producers decided that they need an old star to come back and create more drama, sources told RadarOnline.com. However, it might only be a short-term visit, we’ve exclusively learned.

“Jacqueline has only shot one scene so far, with Kathy Wakile,” an insider revealed to RadarOnline.com. “She isn’t back as a series regular.”

Despite hanging on to alpha couple Joe and Teresa Giudice, and featuring their emotionally draining legal mess, ratings for RHONJ recently plunged to their lowest ever.

As RadarOnline.com reported, Laurita was fired after season five because Dina Manzo gave Bravo an ultimatum, refusing to come back herself unless her sister-in-law got her walking papers. Dina has been front and center this season, and now she’s reportedly angry Laurita is returning.

However, the network hopes fans will be pleased. Laurita, whose husband Chris is the brother of Dina and Caroline Manzo, got a slew of attention last season for getting on-camera plastic surgery and sharing her wrenching struggle to raise an autistic son.

As RadarOnline.com has reported, she and Chris are currently in a legal scandal of their own.
