Embattled "Real Fraudwife" Teresa Giudice has pulled the plug on construction of a brand new pool -- valued at $50,000 -- at her Towaco, N.J. home in the wake of her fraud case.
Drowning in drama and with looming debt ahead, the 41-year-old Real Housewives of New Jersey halted the redevelopment after her "financial house of cards came crashing down," a pal revealed to RadarOnline.com.
“Teresa had planned to put a pool in the yard of her house and she was going to spend $50,000 for it, but she couldn’t go forward with it given the case against her and her husband,” the insider said.
“She and Joe just doesn’t live in reality and so she thought that she could just build the pool.”
As we previously reported, the Bravo stars, in a 39-count indictment, are accused of conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud, bank fraud, making false statements on loan applications and bankruptcy fraud.
The pair has pled not guilty.
As for how the besieged couple planned to pay for the pool when they were already struggling financially, the pal guessed they might not have even paid -- ever!

Quipped the source: “Teresa and Joe haven’t paid so many of their bills, maybe they weren’t planning to pay this one? Teresa really still wants the pool, so maybe she’ll get it after all."
