Facts Of Life Star Lisa Whelchel’s Secret Divorce Shocker

Facts of Life star Lisa Whelchel married Steven Cauble 24 years ago, but according to a new report the couple secretly split and have divorced.

However, for anyone who follows the the 49-year-old actress’ blog the breakup wouldn’t come as a shock because she’s been posting hurtful information about her husband for years.

“Lisa puts on a smiling face in public, but in reality she has a dark side,” a source told National Enquirer.

A vocal born-again Christian, Lisa was married at age 25 when her father hand-picked Steven — a much-old associate pastor at their church — to be her husband and even announced their engagement in front of the entire congregation before she agreed.

“Lisa and Steve’s marriage was doomed even before they said their ‘I do’s’ and it just got worse as time went by,” a family friend told the magazine.

“Over the years, she realized she never loved Steve the way she should have as his wife and it affected the way she treated him.”

According to the Enquirer, Lisa finally filed for divorce in 2011, and while the records have been sealed there are property documents that show ownership status of the Texas home they once shared together is being changed.

“Lisa waited to file until their youngest child turned 19 and went away to college. It was a quick, noncontested divorce, and it took only months to finalize,” the insider said.

“She wants to move back to LA full time — as a single woman — and get back into acting.”
