Black Friday Shopper Uses Pepper Spray In A Wal-Mart

By Radar Staff

Pepper spray has moved from the Occupy mobs to the shopping mobs. At least that’s what happened late Thursday night in a Los Angeles Wal-Mart.

A woman, who cops said took “competitive shopping” to the extreme, used pepper spray to keep others away from merchandise she wanted.

“I heard screaming and I heard yelling,” Matthew Lopez, 18, told The Los Angeles Times. “Moments later, my throat stung. I was coughing really bad and watering up.”

The incident took place just before 10 pm in a Wal-Mart in the Porter Ranch neighborhood of L.A.’s San Fernando Valley.

At least twenty shoppers were hit directly with the pepper spray, with several of them taken to a nearby hospital.

Joseph Poulose said he hit with the spray near the DVD and video games display.

“It was definitely the worst Black Friday I’ve ever experienced,” he said.

The pepper-spray shooting shopper was never caught.
