EXCLUSIVE: Oksana Grigorieva Will NOT Be Charged With Extorting Mel Gibson
March 10 2011, Published 10:40 a.m. ET
The extortion investigation of Oksana Grigorieva has been officially rejected by the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office, RadarOnline.com is reporting.
A source close to the case tells us, "the battery charge against Mel will officially be filed on Friday morning. The DA's office will announce that the extortion case was rejected. There wasn't enough evidence to prove that a crime occurred."
The source also tells RadarOnline.com: "Oksana could speak at Mel's hearing on Friday afternoon. She could make a victim's impact statement, but at this point, it doesn't seem likely that she will appear."
Gibson will appear in court on Friday afternoon at the Airport Courthouse in front of Judge Stephanie Sautner.
Mel’s camp claimed that Oksana tried to extort the actor/director and the investigation has dragged on but the charges will now be officially rejected.
