Mariah Carey was rushed to the hospital late last night and thought she’d end up giving birth on her own birthday, RadarOnline.com has learned.

“I started having contractions last night..went 2 the hospital,” the expectant mother of twins tweeted early Sunday morning. Mariah’s 42nd birthday is March 27.
“Finally they said I could come home after they got it under control but…” she followed up a few minutes later.

Mariah and husband Nick Cannon will celebrate their third wedding anniversary April 30.
