Jessica Simpson and fiance Eric Johnson were all smiles and all bundled up Friday in Aspen, CO. RadarOnline.com caught up with the two, holding hands as they made their way to a New Year's Eve dinner.

Simpson looked as happy as she could be. She smiled the entire time while walking hand-in-hand with her fiance. Fortunately, she was prepared for the brutally cold weather.  Jessica was decked out in a comfy black jacket with faux fur hood, Christmas inspired leggings and black boots.

The newly engaged couple spent Christmas with Simpson's family in Encino, Ca., and the singer-turned-designer tweeted "Eric is the perfect addition to our family!

"I'm so grateful this holiday season!!! I hope everyone had a magical Christmas! Love you X,"

She and Johnson, a former pro football player who Jessica says is now working as a "life coach" became engaged in November, the same week her ex-husband Nick Lachey announced his engagement to Vanessa Minnillo.
